Michelin-starred food comes to Cockermouth's flagship festival next weekend, courtesy of Kevin Scanlan.

His philosophy centres around carefully considered dishes built from a small number of standout ingredients, allowing flavour, balance and seasonality to take centre stage. Drawing inspiration from both the Lake District and his Irish heritage, provenance
and sourcing play a central role in his approach, with a focus on building close relationships with local growers, farmers and producers. He champions hyper-local ingredients wherever possible.

Kevin is shaping SOURCE into a restaurant known for its immersive tasting menus, personal touches and warm, engaging guest experience, ensuring it's a must-visit dining destination within the Lake District - somewhere guests choose to travel specifically because of the food and hospitality experience.

Kevin says: "Taste Cumbria is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the exceptional quality of the county's produce and the people behind it. We're fortunate to work with so many outstanding local suppliers throughout the year, so it's a pleasure to be part of a festival that shines a spotlight on Cumbria's food scene."
