A different kind of wedding cake for Kerry & Rob 💚💙

Inspired by their wedding colour scheme and invitation design, our bakers had so much fun hand painting this one… layers of blues and greens finished with gold leaf detailing.

Such a fun brief to work on, and we love how it turned out . This was actually our second wedding cake of the day. Very busy Saturday but we loved every minute 🥂 Congratulations Kerry & Rob!

We are looking for a PART TIME BARISTA/FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT - 7 - 16 hours a week, daytime hours, Saturdays and possibly some weekday shifts.
We have a fantastic team here at Kin and are looking to extend our little family with someone who has specialty coffee experience, loves working with people, appreciates great coffee and food and isn’t afraid of a bit of hard graft.
The successful candidate will be required to:
☕️ Make high quality, specialty coffee using our La Marzocco Linea PB espresso machine
☕️ Confidently make coffee with latte art design
☕️ Have experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment
☕️ Serve our house made cakes as well as our lunch and brunch dishes
☕️ Provide excellent customer service and
☕️ Provide support in general front of house duties and ensure cleanliness is maintained to a very high standard.
BARISTA EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL, along with having a friendly, positive and hard working attitude.

WARNING: Kin is about to get a lot quieter and honestly we don’t know how to feel about it 😭

Today is Crystal’s last day! After 13 months of doing literally everything (barista, front of house, kitchen, unofficial team hype woman) she’s off to use her actual food science degree to develop gluten free products. Groundbreaking behaviour, using your qualification for its intended purpose!

If you’ve ever heard cackling from behind the counter, that was her. If you’ve ever asked “where’s Crystal?” the answer was almost always “on a plane somewhere”, girl has had more holidays than the rest of us combined. Does not stand still, does not stop talking, we love her for it 🥰

We’ve laughed a lot, we’ve been fed well, we’ve made a mate for life. Kin will not be the same without you Crystal, go be brilliant 💚

Too much cake batter is never a problem at Kin 🙌 We got a little carried away making our weekend chocolate Guinness layer cake (spoiler alert ‼️) so we did what any self-respecting bakery would do and turned the leftovers into something even better. Introducing our chocolate Guinness cake jars: layers of rich chocolate Guinness cake, cream cheese icing, and a hidden hit of salted caramel tucked in the middle. Made for the dad who takes their pudding seriously. Limited availability — available today and at the weekend or until stocks last.
