A fabulous day at Lymm on Sunday with Clancy’s Cakes. The weather, the location and the atmosphere made it an all round successful day.

I am so proud of the bakes I’ve made this week and would like to show them to you. Indulge me, I’m so made up!

I’ve been busily baking this week in readiness for the Artisan Market at Lymm on Sunday 23rd August - yes, that’s this Sunday!

There you’ll see the launch of two new products - Clancy’s Cakes Black Forest and Clancy’s Cakes Strawberry and White Chocolate cake. Both in tiramisu style appearance, bought by the slice and the option of lashings of a delicious topping of your choice - forks available too!
These, along with the small cupcake bouquets and scrumptious truffles, will be a first.

There’ll also be a variety of cupcakes to choose from including Oreo cookies and cream, Biscoff crumb and drizzle, fresh strawberry and couli, lemon lush and loaded chocolate!

Not to mention the mouth watering lemon drizzle individual cakes, Bento cakes and of course the ever popular Clancy’s Cakes Victoria Sponge.

Another fabulous week at the cake club hosted by Mel at Wicked Pops in Tyldesley. We meet monthly and bake to a theme. This month the theme was ‘seasons’. I chose to experiment with a ‘new to me’ bake in preparation for Clancy’s Cakes Christmas bakes. I made mincemeat loaf cakes with added sultanas and raisins - one with icing and the other plain. They both tasted yummy, I just need to make them look more festive!

I attended another cake class at Wicked Pops in Tyldesley recently. We made three types of truffles - rich ganache rolled in cocoa, Biscoff truffle dipped in white chocolate and chocolate cake laced with rum dipped in milk chocolate. They were delicious!

I’ll definitely be making a selection of truffles for Christmas! A preview of these will be available at this weekends Makers Market in Lymm - Clancy’s Cakes next destination!
