The Swale Barge Match takes place on one of the most unspoiled stretches of river on the East Coast. There is a regatta feel to the event, with separate classes for barges, smacks, classic yachts, old gaffers, steam ships and Dutch barges.

The course starts at the Sand End Buoy, opposite the Sportsman Pub at Seasalter. From there, the usual course is to go out toward the Whitstable wind farm, then on to Herne Bay and finally past Whitstable, before finishing at the Receptive Buoy off Harty Ferry.

Join the crew aboard the famous Coasting barge Cambria for this historic sailing barge match by purchasing a ticket via our website at: Tillerandwheel.com
