Friends, family, community, we need your help!

Can you help us fill the stadium next Friday the 31st of July?

Many of you will know of Evan. Either from school, walks or will have seen him in Aldi in his wheelchair.

Some of you know us personally. Will have spoken to us at the bake shed. Some may know Tom through his volunteering with Squirrels, Beavers and Scouts.

For those who don't know us, Evan is 8 years old and last year was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. DMD is rare, genetic, life-limiting condition which is utterly devastating. There is no cure and it is 100% fatal.

It is anticipated that within the next 18-24 months Evan will lose the use of his legs. He will become paralysed and will rely on us for absolutely everything. In the next 9-12 months he will require a powerchair just to get around.

We really need our community to come together and help us to help our beautiful boy.

If you are a parent, please just ask yourself what lengths you'd go to for your child? For your child to be safe? To be able to live with some dignity and independence?

Evan is just 8 years old.

Last year he was handed a death sentence.

A diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

A slow, painful, progressive disease that will take his life.

His life expectancy is just 28 years old.

Every parents worse nightmare.

There is no treatment, no cure, no stopping it in it's tracks.

We may have 20 years left to make his life count.

To make a difference.

To build a legacy.

We hope for longer, but the truth is, noone knows.

We have a wonderful local business, Palmers Waste, who have organised this celebrity football game to try and ease some of the burden with just one of the many challenges we face as a family.

We need the support of our community to make this a success.

Whether you're a friend, neighbour, family or stranger, Evan needs you.

If you can display a poster, or take some flyers to work with you, Evan needs you.

We need the community to come together and help us make the time we have count 💚

We have shut up shop for the weekend with just three items left. Nearly a sell out, which is amazing!

We have taken £345, which has tipped the fundraising total over the £29,000 mark. It has, as always, been added to the total.

This is simply phenomenal. We are so, so grateful to all who came along to support Evan. It means more than you'll ever know!

We are not yet sure when our next opening will be as we have an incredibly busy month with appointments, secondary school transitions for the eldest, meetings etc.

We do, however, have the celebrity football match on the 31st of July. It would be so wonderful to see some of you there.

Preparations for this weekend's bake shed are underway!

It is set to be a lovely warm, sunny weekend, which is very welcomed.

Nothing we sell in the shed requires refrigerating for safety, however, as the heat may affect texture we will be rotating stock regularly to prevent anything melting. Please do knock on the front door or ring the bell if you there isn't enough of what you'd like in the shed.

Good morning all,

You may have seen that we have not been open for a while and we are so sorry.

You may have seen a lot lately surrounding street trading licences potentially being required by the council. We have been waiting for them to advise whether or not we require a licence or if a fundraising permit applies.

We still, as yet, do not have any answers.

Despite not having any answers, we have decided that we WILL be open next weekend for Father's Day 🎉

Please do let us know if there's anything you'd like to see in the shed and spread the word far and wide 💚
