Please take the time to read my post before making assumptions. This is not about trying to avoid paying fees or refusing to follow the rules.

I have all the required certificates in place, a Food Hygiene Rating of 5, and all of my bakes are correctly labelled with ingredients in accordance with Natasha's Law.

The issue is that I only open one day a week, so the amount being requested for selling from my property simply isn't financially viable. For that reason, I have decided to close for now until the council has made a final decision on the matter.

I am really hoping that I can reopen the shed in the future, but for now I have to wait until a decision has been made.

I promised to keep everyone updated, and I will continue to do so as soon as I have any further information.

I’m sorry for being a little quiet lately — it’s been far too hot for baking, and with it being the bank holiday weekend, I knew most of you would be out enjoying the sunshine and making the most of it ☀️

Update on the Cake Shed 🍰

I’ve now received an email from the council confirming that the street trading licence application and fees will be going to the Licensing Committee in June for review.

So fingers crossed there’s still a chance the Cake Shed will be back , I will keep you all updated once I know more 🤞

Tried something new today, not bad for my first ever attempt .
Very long winded making them but worth the 4 hours wait 🤣
