Issue loading…
As a person that attends events with my business, I genuinely did not think it would be necessary to point out one thing, but having attended not one, or two but THREE events this weekend with this same issue - I now feel the need to speak up.
(Thank you Niki for not doing this!)
Booking more than one stall of each type SHOULD be a complete NO.
I say should be a no, as it currently is not most organisers practice to follow.
Of course as an event organiser, we stall holders appreciate that you would like to fill your venues with stalls to draw more people in. We understand completely. We too want your event to be rammed enough to draw the people in. But not at our expense please…
For me, a person with perishable stock, that takes at least 8+ hours to make, I would like to turn up to your event safe in the knowledge that you haven’t booked multiple other cakes stalls. Of course, if your event draws hundreds of people, you’d be wise to book more than one - but let’s be real, most local events do not draw that amount of people.
Because of this weekend, and how it has played out, on top of recent business knocks also, I shall be updating my policies and reaching out to event organisers for the events I have booked. If you have multiple cakes stands booked, I shall not be in attendance.
Hope everyone understands. My time is too valuable to want to waste it… as is everybody’s.
