After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close the Dough My God cake shed. 💔

This wasn’t an easy choice, but unfortunately the footfall simply hasn’t been there, and keeping the shed stocked has started to cut into the profit margins from the parts of the business that are thriving — my pre-orders, events, contracts and venue supplies.

Since opening the shed last June, two other cake sheds have also opened locally, and realistically I don’t think a small town can sustain three cake sheds long-term. So rather than standing still, I’ve decided it’s time to pivot… onwards and upwards to new and exciting things. ✨

The good news is — Dough My God is absolutely not going anywhere.

I’ll still be supplying both Oliver’s Way and Broadview (plus any new venues I’m lucky enough to work with), continuing with the events I genuinely love being part of, and of course I’ll still be taking pre-orders for all the yummy things you know and love. You’ll also still be able to find my bakes at local events too.

And… there’s one more thing I’m SO excited about, which is still very much in the making right now 👀 — but I’ll be sharing news on that very soon.

I just want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who has supported the shed, popped by for a brownie, ordered a cake, shared a post, or cheered me on over the last year. Your support has meant the absolute world to me. ❤️

This is not the end for Dough My God — it’s simply the start of a new chapter.
