MENU...
As we come into September the bakes will start to include autumnal flavours. Starting this week with Norwegian Apple Cake (a recipe shared by my sister in law), and Gingerbread Blondies! I have thrown a bit of a curveball in with the Chocolate Chai Cupcakes so please let me know if you enjoy them!

AUTUMN...
I can definitely feel a change in the air, the nights are drawing in, the leaves will soon start to turn and cosy winter knits will be worn. I absolutely love this season! I think the colours and flavours are my favourite. Expect apples, ginger and cinnamon spice, blackberries and more! 🍂🧡💛🤎

I had such a lovely weekend at Wool at Portsoy! Bought some beautiful yarns, had lunch and ice cream with amazing friends and also embarked on my first solo campervan trip! I loved heading off for a weekend filled with yarn, tea and so much chatting. Camping up next to a new friend I met through knitting was the best feeling 🥰

MENU...
This week's menu brings back some classics! I think banana loaf is one of my all time absolute favourites. It's been a while since there has been any shortbread in the shed so get it while it lasts. It will soon be time for some autumnal flavours.

A foraging trip to a beautiful woodland near by ended up with purple fingers and a pot overflowing with Blaeberries (the Scottish word for Bilberries). Similar to blueberries but smaller and tarter, these wee berries are perfect to use in baking and jams. Our homemade jam is absolutely delicious spread on hot buttery toast. I plan to freeze some of the blaeberries to bake with later in the year as well!

I have baked more than ever before for the shed this weekend! I really hope you enjoy the bakes. I'm not sure which is my favourite this week, possibly the lemon cookies, or maybe coffee and walnut loaf....
