Piping florals is always satisfying. When you see the cake coming together....and all the colours working well... And then puffing some edible glitter so that everything just looks that much prettier. Yep, pure satisfaction.

You know, I haven't eaten cake in a while. Ehem.... Coming up to a year..... Yes, yes. I can hear you all. Whaaaat? You're a baker, how can you NOT eat cake.
I don't know.... I'm more of a tart and pie kind of girl.

That's not to say I can't appreciate a good cake though. Haha.

It's interesting how colours have such an impact on the human brain.
Pastels are calming, bright colours invoke memories of celebration, n**e colours help make you feel warm and snuggly.

Yesterday was one of those days where I, like most of you I'm sure, was severely missing my family and friends' physical existence in my life.

So I decided to bake some strawberry chocolate cupcakes which is an all time fave with my family and closest friends, sit in front of the open windows with the birds twittering away, gaze at the clear blue skies and the bright green of the trees and just say alhamdulillah for what I do have.
