Feeling very lucky to have visited another beautiful vegetable garden this summer just as the seasons start to change. Still abundant with tomatoes, fennel, celery & flowers.

I’ve never seen a walled garden so pristine & organised! But considering it was one of the gardens that inspired Beatrix Potter…it makes a lot of sense.

Locked by gate & key at night! And covered with netting to protect from birds.

If you’re ever visiting the Lake District, be sure to stop here for lunch, they use all the produce from the walled garden & have a bakery on site.

There truly isn’t anything better than that sweet sweet corn with some added grease…please go watch this video if you haven’t seen it. It will bring you pure joy.

I made a version of the Mexican street food Elote! Simply mix mayonnaise with smoked paprika, chill flakes & lime zest. Brush your griddled corn then cover with a generous amount of Parmesan, more chilli flakes, limes juice & flaked sea salt. So easy and takes corn to a whole new level of delicious.

It’s peak season right now in the UK, so get it whilst you can.
