What an unforgettable day at the West End Village Show in Esher today!

I had a wonderful time on the Hersham Village Market stand selling our preserves, honey, bakes, and cheese crackers—the atmosphere was fantastic and despite the weather which changed every 10 minutes it flowed with people and dogs from start to finish.

To top off a brilliant day, I decided to enter the show’s cookery competition for the very first time. I am over the moon with how my bakes placed:
🥇 1st Place – Courgette and Lime Cake (Provided Recipe Section)
🥈 2nd Place – Sticky Ginger Bundt Cake topped with mascarpone frosting and pomegranate seeds (My Favorite Cake Section)
🏅 Highly Commended – Sun-Dried Tomato and Vintage Cheddar Loaf (Home-Baked Loaf Section)

I have to admit I was nervous submitting everything this morning, so coming away with prizes feels amazing, and I won the Suzanne Hood Bowl Cup

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by our market stand today to buy some treats and offer encouragement. Your support means the world!

Pop along and say hi if you are in the Isha area today I will be on the Hersham Village Market stand selling the vintage cheese crackers along with jam honey various arts and crafts should be an amazing show. It is having it 72nd year.
They will also be a marquee for all the competitions of which Hersham Village Market are entering a few

Important Hersham Village Market Update & Weekend Bakes! 📢✨
Hersham Village Market will be open as usual tomorrow! However, please note that the market will then be closed for the whole of September while the church undergoes a major project to resurface the car park. Safety comes first, but don't worry—we hope to welcome you all back on Friday, October 2nd! Keep an eye on our page for updates nearer the time.
🍰 Stock Up for September!
Since all of our food is made freshly, it’s perfect for freezing! You can stock up tomorrow so you don't miss out on your favorite treats during September.
Here is what I'll be bringing along to my table tomorrow:
Sticky Ginger traybake
Raspberry Chocolate fudge brownies
Black cherry stuffed flapjack
Blackberry and apple crumble bars

In addition to my baked goods, the market will feature:

Savory & Sweet Delights: Mac 'n cheese, cottage pies, sausage rolls, lemon drizzles, and much more!

Plants & Produce: Summer plants, hanging baskets, seasonal fruit & veg (tomatoes, cooking apples), preserves, and local honey from St George's Hill Golf Course.

Crafts & Cafe: Handcrafted knitwear, homewares, greeting cards, and Bob's Cafe serving delicious homemade cake with tea and coffee!

We will also be at the West End Village Show this Saturday from 12:00 PM! It’s their 72nd year, and the show is set to be amazing. Some of us will even be entering the competitions! 🏆

The secret to multi-day celebrations? Easy, crowd-pleasing bite-size bakes! 🎂✨

Last weekend, we created five custom trays of mini bakes for a customer hosting back-to-back small birthday gatherings on both Saturday and Sunday.

Waking up to messages like this on Monday morning makes every bit of early-morning or late night baking worth it:

"Morning Rebecca, your cakes went down so well - on both Saturday and Sunday- we had two small gatherings on both days and your cakes were commented on"

When you’re hosting multiple events over a weekend, you need treats that stay perfectly fresh, look great on a platter, and let guests sample a bit of everything without the hassle of slicing a cake. (however, we can add that in too if you’d like a small centrepiece.)

Not all orders have to be huge!

We recently created these mini-portion treat boxes for a client’s small birthday gathering.
By cutting everything into bite-sized pieces, guests don't have to choose just one—they can easily sample a few different flavors (or try them all!).
Plus, if you end up with any leftovers, these store beautifully in an airtight container or can be popped in the freezer for a sneaky midweek treat.
