It's still my birthday for a few more hours, which means there's still time to appreciate the birthday cake 😌

Now, would I have been perfectly content with a Cake Box cake? Absolutely. Did my friends apparently find that unacceptable? Also yes. So here we are — I made my own birthday cake.

And since I was already being forced to make it, I FULLY used the opportunity to practise as many different piping techniques as I could fit onto one cake.

Plot twist: there is absolutely no cake in this cake 🤭

My friend is on a weight loss journey and, as a fellow member of the club, I fully support the cause. HOWEVER, she needed a cake for her birthday photoshoot and obviously I wasn't about to let a little thing like not actually wanting cake stop me from providing one so… we ✨ improvise. ✨

One faux cake, decorated exactly as if it were the real thing. Because by all means, if you need a cake for the pictures, I WILL deliver 😌

Also, I've only just realised I apparently photographed the BACK of the cake??

Yes, although the cake looks the same from all angles, there was a front and back to it.

But it's well. Still cute

The cutest cake for the sweetest baby 🥺

Piping flowers always makes me nervous but the end result is always so cute.
Also, one piping tip was so uncooperative that it was in fact binned.

I'm still not yet caught up on my posts but I had to get this out first because it was my fave for the week 🩷

FUN FACT: I had the camera set up whilst I was piping. The recording stopped and I did not realise 🫠
