Well, in that case, let's start from the beginning. Our story began with an idea on holiday where we fell in love with the smooth creamy white stuff. Yep, you guessed it... Ice cream! After returning, we tried many desserts parlours with our taste buds often taking a severe beating. All we found was overpriced poor quality ice cream So in 2005 after many years of dismay and disappointment we decid

ed to change that. Armed with only our passion and desire to deliver great tasting ice cream and prices that won't melt your pocket we began our journey. Cakes & Shakes was born. Over the next few years, we spent time researching new products and picking the finest natural ingredients. After many months of trial and error, we designed a specific menu. Introducing Cakes, Shakes, Waffles, Icecream and over these late long nights our love for coffee and sandwiches grew too. In 2007 we put our menu to the test by opening our first branch in Gants Hill Essex and WOW what a hit. Years of planning and a lot of hard work had finally paid off Cakes & Shakes was alive and here to stay. With the success our menu grew. Offering more flavours of our unique homemade ice cream, our milkshake menu tripled in size, we added smoothies, crepes, great tasting sundaes and cookie dough. We offer a relaxed family friendly environment to all local regular customers whilst, not forgetting those who have travelled many miles to come visit us to enjoy our great experience. We are always working towards improving our products and developing new ideas so our customer knows that a Cakes & Shakes we never skip on quality and service. Over the years, Cakes & Shakes is proud for being an avenue for some great moments and some not so great from couples meeting for the first time, long lost friends reunited, relationship make ups and break ups. BUT we could not have done this without your help and support. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy offering them to you we like to thank you all. Remember, our journey has just begun. With great service comes even greater responsibility.
