Here at Eagle & Thistle we are very passionate about Nigerian food from all of the regions of Nigeria and especially the Calabar - Efik coast region. The Calabar region is famous for many things including ”Afang, Edikang Ikong and fresh seafood”. Because of the thriving fishing communities along the Calabar coast the seafood dishes are tasty, colourful and vibrantly flavoured! We only ever source fresh fish at the Calabar Area so what ever we have on the menu hasn’t been out of the sea for long and is bound to taste fantastic. We offer many authentic stew dishes from different parts of Nigeria including perfectly aged steaks and veal and the popular goat meat which can be served with vegatables, rice, garri and potatoes or as many people like it, traditionally with yam flour. We have a wide range of dishes on our menu and we have a limited range of “daily specials” which are always based on fresh local ingredients. One of our personal favourites when it is available is the fresh Afang with Lamb! It’s so popular we can hardly keep up with the demand! Many of our customers praise our food and return for more.
