At last... 5 months of distraction.. yes its been that long! but i have finally competed my website! i have two days of photoshoots to complete the look, and its live! i have opted to keep it loose and improve it as an on going project.

Oh it also contains a blog. I hate food blogs, people testing other peoples basic gluten free cupcakes in sunlit kitchens being all "delicious" and "scrumptious".. so don't expect anything nice. just hard facts and probably the occasional profanity, loads of opinions, photos because they are everywhere. and probably plans to subvert human kind to a better way of living. could be aiming high but you have to draw your line somewhere

Canapé cream puffs! Matcha tea and poached pear and homemade low sugar strawberry compote and custard flavour cream. topped with a lightly spiced crunch top. a mix of coriander seed, vanilla and green anise. very subtle but works a treat

Rhubarb and custard with a heavy indian twist, a birthday treat for Indians greatest living cricketer. Jaggery and spelt sponge with a suspended roast rhubarb jelly, set in a anise cream, topped with mango and strawberries. Jaggery is a massively underused sugar in baking. its our loss

We also now have our own granola, I have removed all the sugar as it doesn't need it. instead you have as many nuts as i can fit in, blonde raisins, pineapple soaked cranberries and huge oats, made all lovely with olive oil and maple syrup. all i need now is a bigger oven!

So things have been quiet around here but all for good reason… Turns out biscuits are kind of cool! along with developing a stand out brunch menu at Continental (go and try it) i have produced a collection of biscuits which include:
Custard Buttons
Matcha Sable
Milk Drops
Chocolate and Anise Crack Cookies
Black Pepper and Ginger Bombs
Wholewheat and Sumac shortbread

well, it's been a long weekend prepping for the summer fruits harvest. hope enough has been done for home-grown gooseberry jam, blueberry pie and redcurrant jelly. The wild strawberries will find themselves garnishing the odd tart no doubt, and if fortune smiles, there may even be a greengage twist on a bakewell slice.

the march of Orange, Saffron & Almond cakes across Bloomsbury starts here. A smidge of polenta thrown into the mix to keep the cut clean but the icing demanded to be drizzled all over. The flavour is sublime but don't take our word for it, pick up a slice at Store Street Espresso or Continental Stores
