Many of us have either been directly affected by Cancer or knows someone who has! The one thing that is consistent throughout our experiences is limited information! Did you know that Black Women, in particular are statistically more likely to be diagnosed of gynaecological cancers at a much later stage than our non-Black Sisters? Why?

On Thursday 26th September Empathy Souls CIC are hosting a Free Cancer Speakeasy Event in partnership with The Eve Appeal and Royal Marsden to answer this question and many others relating to how you can access Cancer Screening Programmes, what to look out for so cancers can be detected earlier and much more info relating to nutrition, wellbeing, etc.

Without being too dramatic, this event could save either your own life or someone you love - it saved mine! 💖

The answer to the question I’m constantly being asked by my food loving African Caribbean Community in relation to Cookidoo … YES!! 😉

To be honest - as with every recipe - I tweak to my own preference plus I also freestyle with my Thermomix to create cost conscious, healthy and cultural meals! I’m a no measurements, just taste kinda cook Thermie is a great support with this as it has over 20 functions as well as the actual cooking!!! 🙀

What are the jobs you hate doing in the kitchen? For me, it’s peeling garlic, potatoes and carrots! Thank goodness for the peeling function on my Thermomix! Peels garlic in absolutely no time at all… 1minute, in fact, to do 3 bulbs… also chops and sautées it too!

Today is my trusted Sous Chef’s 5th birthday!! I could not do half of things I do for Divinely Delicious by Gayle without my TM6 Thermie’s help! 😍.

Over the past 4 years, it has saved me a ton of time but also money! Costs less than boiling my kettle, make my own sauces, condiments and also makes me look like Nigella in the kitchen due to the numerous healthy restaurant quality meals it churns out!

Happy 5th Birthday Thermie and looking forward to many more years together - you are definitely the best investment in my health, wealth and kitchen I’ve ever made! 😉💚 call me if you’d like to know how to make it work for you too!
