The Spence Bakery Bringing carbs to N16 since 2002. We are an independent bakery in Stoke Newington. Founded in 2002, we are proud to be an independently owned and run business.

Headed up by Katherine Lockwood and Liz Whitaker, and their team of talented bakers and baristas, we love being in the centre of a wonderful neighbourhood. We know there’s nothing quite like a freshly baked loaf, that’s why
we make all our breads and baked goods by hand, from scratch
each day in our bakery in the heart of Stoke Newington Church Street. We also know delicious bread takes time, so w

e slow down the process. letting our dough mature overnight. allowing a fuller flavour
& superior texture to develop. You won’t find any nasties in our breads, just simple ingredients handled with care and attention. A proper loaf from a proper bakery.
