A message on behalf of our dearest Mum and loving wife to Richard.

Unfortunately after a long battle with Cancer. Mum (Jo) passed away peacefully on Sunday the 5th November surrounded by her husband and three children’s love. She had been so brave and fought on with rebellious hope and courage throughout all of her cancer treatments.

In classic Jo style she decided to go out with a bang on bonfire night and we will always look up to fireworks in the sky and remember what a kind, loving amazing woman she was. We are all devastated and going to miss her so very much. But I know that she will live on in all of our hearts.

I had to post this .. as to be honest I am just feeling so emotional … I received these beautiful, beautiful flowers completely out of the blue 5 minutes ago and am quite teary to be honest! I can’t get over what lovely friendship I have made through the cake world … these couldn’t have arrived at a better time .. I am half way through 6 cycles of chemo .. and feeling a bit rubbish if I’m honest … but I’m feeling so much better now. Thank you lovely Chi .. you have a heart of pure gold. You have kept in touch throughout my journey and kept me going ♥️

On Friday my very dear friend Erica popped over to see me after I got out of hospital … she had been plotting with my Surrey cakey friends to cheer me up after my surgery … I was so, so touched (and very emotional!!) by the beautiful bouquet and gorgeous Jo Malone bath smellies ! The flowers are gorgeous - Erica knows how obsessed I am with Steph’s work!! … and I love, love, love Jo Malone goodies. Still pinching myself SurreycakeSOS!! I can’t wait to be well enough to catch up with you all

I love receiving professional photos of my cakes from my couples .. as they are always so much better than mine … I love all the different angles that a professional photographer takes of cakes and the lighting that they capture. This is Olympia and Rob’s cake where they married in July … it looks like it was a fun wedding from the cake cutting picture posted yesterday ❤️
