Want an easy & quick soup recipe to have with a great loaf of sourdough.

I saw this Tomato soup from Nisha Katona being made on TV this morning & I had all the ingredients for the soup, I skipped the garlic bread part & just had my own sourdough.

10 minutes from start to eating, added a few sourdough croutons, it was so delicious.

Italian Herb Sourdough Bread.

Take a rustic white sourdough & add a good glug of extra virgin olive oil along with a helping of dried Italian herbs into the dough.

24 hours later you have a fabulous loaf that's great for dips, as a base for cheese on toast, with soups or your favourite Italian meal to name but a few.

For me, its great to serve lightly toasted with dips or bruschetta for guests, whether it's a more formal meal or a casual evening with drinks & nibbles.

A freezer restock for me, 3 of the 4 made it in, the sesame topped white has been ½ demolished already.

All my breads freeze really well, some cut the loaf in ½ & freeze for later on, others slice the whole loaf & then take out a few slices at time.
