I haven’t posted anything to do with the New Year and truthfully it’s because I haven’t found the words but I’m going to try below 🤷🏻♀️ (I also didn’t know what picture to post with it so here’s a pic of me with a magnificently large pain au choc).
2023 - The year I came back to baking and connecting back to what I truly love, it may seem like I have it all figured out. I could post a carousel with all my wins from last year, my best cakes and my busiest weeks. There’s even a reel in my drafts with cute backing music and some very curated clips but it wouldn’t be an accurate representation of the year I had, so in the drafts it stays.
A year that was filled with so much darkness and sad events both for me personally and for the world, it’s honestly a year I just want to forget and move on from. Obviously there were some very happy times, the birth of two beautiful healthy babies in my family and Louie’s, restarting Tamo’s Treats, lots of personal goals met, new special friendships made and existing relationships continuing to flourish. I have a roof over my head and food in my tummy, a fabulous career and lots of love surrounding me. But I can’t acknowledge those things without acknowledging the hardest moments in my life that I experienced last year.
So! Anyway! No more reminiscence of 2023 from me, BUT please know there is SO much excitement, positivity, intention and vigour heading into 2024, both for me personally and the business, and I can’t wait to share the outcome with all of you so soon.
