An appreciation of Autumn
Autumn is is such a cosy, beautiful time of year, with the leaves changing color, the dark afternoons, the crisp air, the woodland walks, the cosy fires.
10 reasons why autumn is the best season (and perfect occasion to eat a Fat Brownie):
1. The changing leaves
Just the beauty of jewelled colours everywhere, gently falling to the ground
2. The cosy nook
A cup of tea, a brownie, a good book and a comfy nook lined with big cushions and blankets
3. The classic literature
Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, and Bram Stoker for atmospheric autumnal reads
4. The crisp air
Long woodland walks in the crisp air, wellies squelching through the mud, with a hint of bonfire smoke in the air - all that makes you want a brownie when you get home
5. The foggy and frosty mornings
Sparlking frost or spooky fog make for magical autumn mornings
6. Jumpers, scarves, hats and boots
Lean into dark academia with your layers, your wool and your tweed. And have a brownie
7. The comfort food
Pumpkin soup, mac and cheese, big Sunday roasts. And naturally, a cup of tea and a brownie - perfect after a long walk
8. Hygge
Strings of fairy lights, candles and a lamp in every corner, friends round the kitchen table to eat brownies - so very hygge
9. When Harry Met Sally
The perfect autumn film. No notes
10. Brownies
Did I mention brownies?
