☀️ GOOD MORNING, YOU LOVELY LOT! ☕️🤧

Well, I had plans to get some painting done today and FINALLY get the actual colour on the walls… 🎨

But apparently, my body had other ideas! 🙄 The lurgy has well and truly arrived, got worse as yesterday went on, and I now look like Rudolph! 🦌🤣

Last night’s survival kit included vapour rub, a hot toddy and an early night. Fingers crossed I can shake this off soon! 🤞🏻😷

Between feeling like death warmed up and not being able to get into the craft room properly because it’s currently doubling as a storage unit while we decorate Dakota’s bedroom… things are a little chaotic! 😂

☕️ GOOD MORNING & HAPPY MONDAY! ☕️

Well, the weather has definitely got the memo that summer is over! 🥶🤣

Yesterday we had an almighty gust of wind followed by torrential rain ☔️💨

And this morning? COLD! I'm actually wearing a jumper AND a jacket 😆 First time in forever! Won't be long before the hat, gloves and scarf make an appearance! 🧣🧤

It's been an eventful weekend in the decorating department too! 🏠🎨

✅ Hole in the wall fixed (although there's still a little dip/dent 👀)
✅ Undercoat is ON 🙌
✅ More sanding dust on me than anywhere else in the house 🤣

Today it's the day job for me, followed by a chilled evening because I think a cold might be trying to gatecrash my week 🤧 Absolutely NOT invited, thank you very much!

Right then, enough about me... 👀

🏡🔨 THE DECORATING DIARIES… SEND HELP! 🤣🤣

Well, the bedroom makeover continues, and I’m starting to think I’m in the WRONG job! 😂

✅ The last of the wallpaper is FINALLY off! My apprentice, aka the Mini Boss 👑, lasted approximately 5 minutes before giving up. The work ethic is outstanding! 🤦‍♀️🤣

✅ The foreman, aka Mr Crafts, helped take down some shelves before moving on to his main role… supervising! 👀😂

✅ The hole in the wall has FINALLY been repaired! After all the dust, crumbling plaster and head-scratching, we’re one step closer to progress! 🙌🏻

✅ Polyfilla has been applied… along with a little bit of my blood! 🙈 Sliced my finger on the filling blade, so the Mini Boss got promoted to FIRST AIDER! 🩹👑 Thankfully, she was on hand to save the day! 🤣

Between stripping wallpaper, sanding walls and creating enough dust to make it look like it’s snowed indoors, I’m absolutely knackered!

And my two colleagues? One has clocked off after five minutes, and the other is supervising! 🤣

I need to speak to HR about this workforce! Oh wait… I AM HR! 🤦‍♀️😂

Next up… more sanding, undercoat and FINALLY some actual colour! 🎨🙌🏻

At this rate, the bedroom might be finished before Christmas… which Christmas is anyone’s guess! 🤣🤣

Forget going to the gym… sanding walls is the new workout! 💪🏻😂 At this rate, I’ll have biceps like Arnie by the time this decorating is finished! 🤣

I'm nearly there! 🙌🏻 Just a little bit of wall left to strip, sand, Polyfilla, and then sand AGAIN! 😩😂

Saturday is undercoat day! 🎨🥳 We've FINALLY chosen the paint colour, ordered it, and now we're just waiting for delivery!

Thank goodness, because the new carpet is being laid in TWO WEEKS! 😍🙌🏻

Next on the list… ordering the new bed! 🛏️💸 Honestly, decorating is just one expensive shopping list that never ends! 🤣💀

Today, it's back to the day job, working from home. I think my poor body deserves a day off from being a DIY bodybuilder! 😂😅
