Firstly we are blown away with the amazing comments from everyone, we were quite emotional reading them and it really makes everything worthwile. Muker Show Update

You wait 51 days (according to facebook) for a post and two come along in the same day.

We haven't quite managed to celebrate our 20 year Anniversary today as we have been busy creating for the Muker Show tomorrow. Hopefully the Champagne will come out later. We will be open from 9.30 tomorrow. Lets hope the weather is kind.

We will be offering our usual soup, sandwiches, Nick's brilliant quiche - Bacon, mushroom & tomato or Leek, mushroom & Gruyere and lots of cakes, scones etc.......

New this year our Chocolate & Dokkr Ale cake made with Orm’s Ol Dokkr Stout which won the world’s best stout at the World Beer Awards 2026!

20 years ago today we arrived in Muker!

Where does time go?

We have met so many amazing people over the years and have had many ups and downs along the way. We're not sure how many cups of tea & coffee we have served, not sure how many sandwiches, rarebits and scones we've produced and we are not sure of how many times we have been asked how to pronounce the name Muker, but we're pretty sure it's an awful lot.

What with sheep, kestrels, pigeons, and many other assorted birds in the shop, Army Officers in the kitchen, salt in the bakewell tart, film stars, celebrities, politicians, tv appearances, the Tour de France, power cuts and not to mention why we sell so much Daz handwash in the shop (it's a secret), it has never been dull!

The wonderful community of Muker and Upper Swaledale made us feel so welcome and we have made many friends and have been blessed to have known some of the amazing characters that have lived in the Village.

A big thank you to all our customers over the years, many of those we can now count as friends.

A huge big thank you to both our families who have supported us over the years, we love you.

Finally we are so very lucky to have worked with some truly wonderful people you all know who you are and we could not have done any of it without you.

Thank you Nick & Alison

What an incredible day here in Swaledale!

The team at the Farmers Arms were honoured to host HRH Prince William for lunch during his visit to Swaledale. He enjoyed a hearty lunch of chicken and ham pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy, which got the royal seal of approval 👑🥧

It's certainly a day we will never forget! 🤩

Did you spot the Prince during his visit today? If so, we'd love to see your photos in the comments below 📸
