Sometimes human error occurs when baking!! This week I made a mistake with a cake. I made the wrong flavour for a customer. The rest of the cake was correct but I have been threatened with damage to my business because I wouldn’t offer a full refund.

I offered a replacement cake and a partial refund. Both were refused I offered to send the cake by post to the home address, this was also refused! I have apologised and have been castigated verbally.

In 35 years, I have always prided my self on being able to sort out an issue for my customers should a problem occur. I cannot sort out a problem when everything I offer is refused.

I mention this so you are aware that being human we make mistakes sometimes. Just putting that out there. I admit my mistake and own it but don’t deserve to be treated like this when trying to sort out the issue.

Happy to say we have now completed work on the kitchen and are fully fitted now ready to take your orders for your celebration and wedding cakes. As usual check your prices and sizes on the website cake page and email us with your requirements by copying and pasting the order instructions (written in red) on an email to me (write your answers underneath each question)and send an image of the cake you would like. I will prepare your order form and return it to you for approval. Alternatively text me for a quick response.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note: please note that our kitchen is closed for probably 3 - 4 weeks
From Monday 5th of May 2025 for an extensive kitchen refit.

Obviously due to building works, it is not going to be possible to accept any orders until this is completely finished so we are aiming to begin again in June.

Our Story

Appleblossom Wedding and Celebration cakes is run by Joy Cartwright. Based in the Midlands for 10 years, Joy recently moved to Mid Wales to be closer to her family. “It’s always a challenge to start afresh in a new area especially when moving a business as well but I hope that we can build up as fabulous a relationship with customers in the Mid Wales and surrounding area’s as we had in the Midlands.

Our website www.appleblossomcakesllandinam.com means that customers can order their birthday and celebration cakes at the touch of a button. You can check out our cake page answer a few simple questions on our email and we can send your order forms online for approval. Your cake can be delivered or collected at your convenience. If you are unsure of your designs just call for a quick chat or book an appointment and we can discuss your cake in greater detail.

Free wedding cake consultations are available and we also have regular cake tasting sessions so that couples can try, choose, and order the samples of cake they would like to include in their wedding cake. We bake everything fresh to order. There are around 41 different combinations of fillings, flavours and preserves to choose from as well as traditional fruit cake.

There are lots of cakes to choose from and you will find lots of designs in the galleries on the website.
