Sometimes human error occurs when baking!! This week I made a mistake with a cake. I made the wrong flavour for a customer. The rest of the cake was correct but I have been threatened with damage to my business because I wouldn’t offer a full refund.
I offered a replacement cake and a partial refund. Both were refused I offered to send the cake by post to the home address, this was also refused! I have apologised and have been castigated verbally.
In 35 years, I have always prided my self on being able to sort out an issue for my customers should a problem occur. I cannot sort out a problem when everything I offer is refused.
I mention this so you are aware that being human we make mistakes sometimes. Just putting that out there. I admit my mistake and own it but don’t deserve to be treated like this when trying to sort out the issue.
