The kids are back in school, why not pop in after the drop-off, text a friend you haven’t seen all summer for a long-overdue catch-up.

Have a coffee and catch up in peace this morning ☕️

Good things take a little time, like the shredded house salt beef which tops our Ruben eggs.

Salted for 5 days then slowly cooked overnight to make it meltingly tender, this is what makes it so good 🤌🏻

Our kitchen team builds every single brunch plate from scratch. It’s real food, made by real people, just for you. Because we want to feed you properly.

Daisy bank

we believe good food starts with good ingredients.

That’s why, wherever we can, we choose suppliers who share our love of quality, provenance and food that is minimally processed.

One of those suppliers is Daisy Bank Dairy, a wonderful organic family farm in mid-Wales.

Their milk comes from their own organic herd and is gently pasteurised and non-homogenised — so you’ll often see that beautiful natural layer of cream sitting at the top. Using daisy bank means a clear connection between farm, the cows and what’s in your bottle. Full fat means it’s more energy dense. Organic means it has a favourable fatty acid profile and higher in omega 3 fats.

And it doesn’t stop at the milk they also make cheese, that we love to stock at the deli.

Trefaldwyn Blue
A beautiful Welsh artisan award winning cheese made using milk from the Daisy Bank herd. Rich, creamy and full of character.

Ruby Red
A gorgeous soft organic cheese, creamy and delicate, and another lovely example of what can be created when you start with quality milk.

For us, this is about more than the finished product.
It’s about knowing where our ingredients come from, who produces them and how they are made.
It’s about supporting local Welsh farming and choosing food made with care.
ultimately, it’s about feeding people properly.

Our menus change with the seasons, but what never changes is what we believe in … everything handmade, using the best quality ingredients, and always seeking to feed people properly.

This month’s menus are a little more personal than most.

August is Cerith’s birthday month. Rachel’s much-missed brother who had made a magnificent life in Australia would often send Rachel pictures and inspiration usually accompanied by a “Rach, this needs to be on the menu!”

One of those pictures became “The Cez”.

A delicious Australian brunch he’d enjoyed and sent over, which Becky recreated from the photograph and added to our menu.

The Cez has become one of our most popular dishes and hearing customers saying his name (sometimes incorrectly!🙃🤣) Really fills our hearts❤️

In addition this month, the bakers have been busy bringing a little piece of that inspiration to llandeilo by creating a counter menu which is a little nod to Australia, to the flavours and inspiration Cerith loved, and to all those little moments that stay with us.

It feels very special to be able to share these with you, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we have creating it.

Created from a picture, inspired by a brother, and now enjoyed by so many of you.

For Cez. 🇦🇺🤍
We miss you
