For over 100 years Satterthwaites has been selling bread, cakes (including the famous Bavarian), the legendary Satterthwaites Pork Pie as well as a wide variety of other pies and sausage rolls. We continue to sell high quality fresh products, as well as coffee and hot drinks, all made by hand at the bakery by local bakers. All of our left over food at the end of the day is taken to the Soup Kitchen to feed the homeless.

Tonight on the Bake Off it's Bread Week, and we thought what better way to showcase our bread? 📺🌾

No ultra-processed junk, no long chemical lists. Just minimal ingredients, shaped by hand and baked fresh every single morning.

If the tent leaves you craving some, we are back open from 8am tomorrow with a fresh counter of your favourites:

🤍 Large White Tins — Traditional, clean, and perfect for morning toast.

We are looking for an experienced artisan baker to work with us on a temporary basis over the next few months until Christmas to help cover holidays and produce the extra Christmas products. Hours and terms to be agreed but it would be approximately 15 hours a week with an early start. Must have experience of working in a small bakery environment producing bread and pies by hand.
