Who really runs the World? I don’t know about you but I am running my world, regardless of mortgage rates, regardless of energy bills, regardless of food price hikes. Refuse to tap into the vibe of the cost of living crisis. As the saying goes “when you find yourself in a hole and ask for a way out, don’t be surprised when God hands you a shovel”. As Mel Robbins says: “no one is coming” strength in numbers, let’s resolve to thrive together.

Anyone else use Canva?
I am no designer and I love Canva.

This is such a great story.

Many people are looking to start something of their own. And with the way things are at the moment, it’s pretty much a necessity. We all start in the same place; with no customers and therefore no business. And in the case of Canva, no one backing you. And that is a very common situation. Feels awful doesn’t it? You can have the best thing since sliced bread and yet it can feel like your nearest and dearest are the last ones to support you.

Most of us must go through a similar thought process of ‘where do I start?’ ‘How will I find customers?’ and ‘how will I fit this in?’

All perfectly natural worries.

And even if your sideline is following a system, you can still feel like a rabbit in the headlights.

When I freeze like this I take one simple step. It can be any step, just something that starts some momentum. It’s always something that requires physical movement, no matter how slight.

And often it’s something that creates connection. In our own space with no one there, it’s easy to let the fear monster dominate your thoughts. When I pick up the phone, or do a video, or even write a post like this, I’ve gotten out of myself to focus on you.

I remember that my business is not for me. I win when you win. It’s a natural by-product.

Take a step. Reach out to someone. See what you can do to help. It’s what we all need right now; support, backing, encouragement, and love.

I see people stalling in their business, and sometimes not even getting started.
They want to do it, but just don’t. They are afraid of so many things.
Fear of failure is paralysing. I know that. I’ve been there and still am sometimes. Fear of success (in my view), even more so.
I learned that taking one small action gets me started, and I feel better, the momentum begins and I am on my way.
As I was reminded today: Skills Pay The Bills.
Get started. Get trained. Get practicing. Then you get good.
What could most people do to put their best foot forward and take the tiniest of steps (action) to get started today?

If you want to be rich, never give up. People tend to give up. If you have persistence, you will come out ahead of most people. More importantly, you will learn. When you do something, you might fail. But that's not because you're a failure. It's because you have not learnt enough. Do it differently each time. One day, you will do it right. Failure is your friend.
