Happy New Year everyone!

The time has come to give you all an update on Dafna’s Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately it is not the news you were hoping for, as many of you may have suspected by this point, Dafna’s will not be reopening.

When we closed our doors back in September 2022 it was full of hope at getting the renovations done within 6 months! 15 months later after many delays & complications plus numerous other factors coming into play generally & personally; it has been decided that now is the right time for the Dafna’s story to come to an end. We know that this will be hugely disappointing for everyone and we want to make it clear that this outcome has not been made lightly and comes with the blessing of the previous owner.

There is some positive news to bring you in the midst however in that a familiar, Liverpool based, independent business will be taking over at 240 Smithdown Road. Watch this space for another announcement very soon!

Dafna’s Cheesecake Factory has had an incredible run for 45 years, in which we have loved serving you & we very much miss the community that was created. Please do share here some of the lovely memories you have & how Dafna’s has been a part of your lives…

A most heart felt thank you to each & every one of you that has ever bought a cake or cheesecake, supported us over the years, worked for us or with us. Nothing was ever taken for granted! 💕

So, after an incredibly misleading article by Liverpool Echo this week, we decided it was time to give you all an update…

Dafna’s is still very much in the middle of it’s TLC refurbishment works!

We have had some delays & so will be re-opening later than originally planned but hoping by the beginning of the summer at the latest! Apologies to make you all wait that little bit longer. In the meantime keep supporting all the amazing independent bakeries & shops out there. We need you! 💕

We have a limited supply of *goodie bags for £15* containing a selection of sweet treats from your beloved Dafna’s to cheer you up & say thank you for all the support you have shown these past couple of weeks! Retail value of £25 so a fantastic 40% discount!

Each bag will contain:

*Temporary Closure of the Shop*

The time has come where we need to carry out some extensive behind the scenes refurbishment works to our beloved shop & kitchens, including completely overhauling the electrics & plumbing! As a result we will be shutting the shop to the general public for a few months, our last day open will be in just 10 days time SATURDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER 2022. Re-opening will be early 2023! We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but hope you understand that after 45 years some much needed TLC is required for us to continue to serve you our delicious cakes & cheesecakes. In the interim you will still be able to get a selection of our cake slices from a variety of Liverpool based coffee shops that we will continue to supply (keep an eye out for future posts!).

To ensure these last couple of weeks run as smoothly as possible unfortunately we won’t be taking any more orders. We have a good stock in our freezers but will be operating on a first come, first served basis and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Thank you for all your ongoing appreciation & support; it means so much! Come & see us these next few days! 🍰💕

We are closed tomorrow (Good Friday) and Easter Monday. We are open on Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm so plenty of time to get your Easter goodies.

We had an unsual morning filled with giggles! One of our staff members took the keys home by mistake so we could not get our gates off! 🤣
