I was genuinely debating whether to skip ordering a sample box because it meant pushing my launch back even further…but I’m about to order 500 boxes and I realised it would be pretty silly to risk all that money just to save an extra 15 days, especially when the sizing is so important.

If the boxes arrive slightly too big or too small the cookies might not sit securely which could mean more damage when they’re being posted & I want to minimise that as much as I can.

as frustrating as it is to delay what I had originally in mind, I’d rather get it right the first time than rush it and end up with 500 boxes I can’t properly use.

Trying to remind myself that getting things done quicker doesn’t always mean getting them done better 🌟

Honestly can’t wait to see when the sample box come tho!!

Drop down any suggestions for the final one!! 🍪

I thought I’d finally decided on the four stuffed cookie flavours for my first online drop.

Then I changed my mind, did some more testing… and changed my mind again.

Now I’ve realised two of the flavours are a bit too similar, as they’re both quite cinnamon-based.

I really want each cookie in the box to bring something different, so that means… more recipe testing.

At this point I’m definitely making life harder for myself 😭 but I want to be happy with the final four.

Taking The Big Boy Bakery online means there’s a few things I need to figure out…one of them being a website.

I’ve genuinely lost count of the meltdowns I’ve had trying to get my head around Shopify 😭

big big thank you to for putting me in touch with .uk , genuinely a lifesaver!!

I shared the branding and box design I’d been working on with my friend, explained my vision for the website and how I wanted it to work around cookie drops, with the website opening and closing & Tom was on ittt!!!

It’s still a work in progress but seeing all these little bits come together is making the idea of launching online feel a lot more real.

Excited to share more of what we get up to next week!! 🍪

I intended this for my story but my sister told me I should post. I hesitated because it’s not ‘grid worthy’ then I realised it’s literally a social media app where I’m sharing my journey of building my business…
A. It’s not deep
B. Not every post has to be polished
C. Whole point is sharing everything & this is part of everything. The reality not a scripted post.

Decision making is a struggle for me. Mainly because I worry so much about making the wrong one. And then when your already overwhelmed… enter decision fatigue

But I’ve had to learn that sometimes making the wrong decision is better than making no decision at all. Perfectionism can leave you standing still.

Branding was something I said from the start I struggled with. At uni I REALLY was struggling to see any vision.

Bit by bit though, I feel like I’m finally getting somewhere. And as frustrating as the delays have been, having that extra time to think has actually helped me figure out the direction I want to take things.

So I’m actually really excited to share it all with you when my samples finally arrive!!
