Good evening all....
After a lot of decision making I have decided that I will no longer be selling cakes whilst I work on skills and flavours.
Unfortunately I just wasn't charging enough whilst I found my feet and with a new addition joining us any week now I have had to turn down several requests for family and friends as the pregnancy has taken its toll on my body!

I would really love to thank every single person that tried to push and encourage me to turn something I love doing into a business. Sadly right now just hasn't been the right time for me, I will continue doing what I love for my own family and friends to enjoy once baby is here but for now I will not progress into a business 🥰 I do not want to lose my love for baking before I have even begun.

On a plus note I do look back at the page with some of the photos I posted at the very beginning and can already see how far my skills had come (many many cakes were not posted to my page Unfortunately) but i have loved baking for each and every one of you ❤️

So I have been very quiet since October, unfortunately prior to our planned family holiday we recieved some bad news about my father in law, we rushed to Ireland for my husband to be close by, after a lot of decision making we decided to return home and make the last few days of the holiday after the Dr gave some hope during conversation, unfortunately on the day we were due to return home from our booked holiday (also my husbands birthday) we recieved the devastating news that my father in law had passed so we were back on the road to Ireland. Since then we have had additional travel commitments related to these sad events, but we have also had further loss in the family that was sudden and unexpected. Times haven't been the easiest in recent months most of which is kept very private and only talked about between myself and my husband or immediate family. Through everything that has happened we have truly been shown so much love too and we hold hope for much happier times throughout this year, so yes I have been quiet on the business building front whilst my physical health has been affect through the stress but I'm here!

I really want to thank everyone that has sent lovely messages to check in on us as a family, we have seen that we have some really wonderful humans in our life.
Also a huge thank you to my business support too, and all of you that have asked if I'm still here, still baking and expressed that you are missing regular bakes.

I have always originally planned to turn my hobby into a full business this September, this is still my plan if Little lady settles into reception with ease. It will free me up to focus on my own life goals again and for this I cannot wait!

As I've been so quiet on social media, I will share just a few of the bakes from recent weeks, lots of practicing new techniques 😍

I cannot take credit for the items on the grazing platter as they aren't homemade but as a favour I put the board together for a special ladies night that was happening for a bride to be.

I hope 2024 is looking wonderful for you all 😘

Are you a slither or a wedge person 🤔 🤭

I quite often get asked how many people my celebration cakes serve. Of course this question isn't the same for every family/person but the correct way to serve cake for celebrations in in slithers rather than wedges to make it go further.
This is a 3 layer 8" cake and is the standard size for all of my celebration cakes unless any different is requested.
In my second photo you can see the cake after serving my entire family of 11 people and we aren't even half way through and these were generous slithers.

Everyone is different, a slither just doesn't cut it for others, in which case you would get 12 amazing size wedges 😉
