We have had an incredible day running our Macmillan Cancer Support Cake Stall today.
By the time we closed up at 3pm, we just had the number of cakes in the last photo. As we were clearing up, I had two more customers knocking on my front door asking to buy cake and donate.
Only five cakes left and we’ve raised £304.

Thankyou to each and every one of you who has bought cakes and donated.

The Cookie Cupboard is now officially a year old- well it was 1 on Sept 26th! Here is a throwback collage to its first day of opening. It has come on in leaps and bounds over the last year and I have learned a lot.
Brownies are usually the best sellers closely followed by Rocky Road. I try to make things seasonal but to include regular favourites.
Over the summer, the cupboard has become more popular with passers by thanks to social media and word of mouth. I will officially celebrate the cookie cupboard’s birthday the weekend after next once we have done the MacMillan stall.
Here’s to the next year and all it brings!

Good morning everyone! It seems like years since I’ve last opened the Cookie Cupboard but it was only two weeks ago. I’ve been away in Canada visiting my brother and his family. I’ve had a fantastic time and so good to see them again. I had an amazing time baking with my nine year old niece who is just so much fun and I have come home with lots of Canadian baking goodies.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a great experience getting home. I never sleep on overnight flights (wish I could afford business class so I could lie down) so I didn’t sleep at all on Thursday night. I flew home via Amsterdam with KLM who were brilliant until I was at the baggage carousel at Leeds Bradford last night and only one of my cases came off! Still trying to locate my other case which has washing, books plus three of my favourite pairs of shoes inside. I’m also absolutely shattered despite a good night’s sleep last night.

Sadly, with all this going on and trying to still chase my luggage, I’m not able to bake today to open up tomorrow but can bake tomorrow to open Monday- Wednesday instead.

For the first two customers every day there will be a special £5 off voucher in the cupboard to use against a future purchase! As ever I am so happy with all the love and support I’ve had for my little cupboard over the last year and want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you who has supported it. It means a lot. Love Sam ❤️🍪❤️xx

Well, what a fantastic month it’s been for the Cookie Cupboard. I’ve been blown away by all the lovely comments and support for my little cupboard.
This time last year, having my own little honesty cupboard was in the planning stages as I was researching what shed to buy, what to make and where to source all my packaging. My cupboard enables me to share my love of baking with everyone in the community and I just love it.
From the start of the month with our Yorkshire Day themed bakes to today with more favourites, I have enjoyed baking every single thing.

So thankyou so much to each and every one of you who supports us. Whether it’s a like and share on SM or buying from us in person, it is all appreciated.

Good morning everyone! The Cookie Cupboard is back open for Bank Holiday Monday.
We had a massive thunderstorm yesterday evening but the cupboard did well throughout the day! We have had a little restock but I ran out of Double Deckers so one batch of brownies has had to become Twix ones instead. We only have 3 pieces of Rollo Cookie Bar left.

Thankyou again for your support ❤️🍪❤️xx

Good morning everyone!

Only a handful of items left on this drizzly, damp Monday morning. I’m open today as it’s the school holidays. If you need a little pick me up, come and grab a treat while you can.
We will not be open next weekend owing to a family commitment so it’s the last chance to get some cake until Sunday 30th August when we are able to open next!

Once again thankyou so much for all your support with the cookie cupboard. It really is appreciated.

Love Sam ❤️🍪❤️xx

Hi everyone!
I haven’t had the Cookie Cupboard out since the Easter holidays as I was away. Then last weekend I had a stinking cold so didn’t want to be spreading my germs around!
This weekend I am baking but this time it’s for Little Ouseburn Open Gardens. Instead, there will be a pop up cafe (affectionally named Sam’s Cafe) in our front garden from 10am-5pm. My mum and I will be there all day plus a group of fabulous local volunteers who are on the rota to help.
If you are in the area, do pop on down. I have already started on the baking and can’t wait to share what I have baked with you all!
