Espresso martini cake…

Coffee cake is my absolute favourite kind of cake, so I just had to give this one a go, it’s coffee cake with coffee flavoured butter cream, obviously this design could also be do with any flavoured cake and buttercream but it was very fitting to do it with coffee cake.

I have never had to do piping with coffee buttercream, this was a learning curve, because of the coffee added the buttercream isn’t quite as stable as it usually is, so I had to keep taking it off and redoing it because it just kept slipping, if I were to try and pipe with coffee buttercream I would definitely have to adjust my ratios to make it more stable, this is why I always try new things on mine and my family’s birthday cakes, it gives me the opportunity to learn and develop skills
