I genuinely feel this review is fake and whilst it may not be, it doesn’t make it any less upsetting. Regardless, if this is a genuine review, please remember there is a person reading these behind the screens 👍🏽
I am so very sorry to anyone who felt like the wait time on Saturday was ridiculous. We got through the queues as quickly as possible and we were both serving continuously for two hours. There is only two of us, correct and we work bloody hard to get the shop stocked and still maintain a high standard in our bakes, hot food and cleanliness. Do I want extra staff, honestly, not yet. The staff bills, national insurance hikes, pensions etc are bloody crippling for small businesses like ours in such tough times, along with VAT bills and other overheads that people don’t see, it’s not a position I want to be in now so we do what we can and split the workload between us and we never have you waiting that long, even for hot food when it’s so busy. Jamie has his systems nailed down to a tee and he absolutely smashes it.
I have NEVER been rude to anyone who has stepped foot into our shop and I never would be, don’t get me wrong, we banter with the work boys who come in, but I never would be rude to anyone and that is even when people have been rude to me!!
To have my weight and skin colour called out is beyond ludicrous. You can dislike me and my business, but bringing my weight and the colour of my skin into it, is kind of a step too far and the fact that Google has allowed this to be put up is insane, yet here we are.
