*Permanently closed*

We know our doors weren’t open for long, largely due to a lengthy planning application that took close to 12 months 🫣 With the tenancy renewal imminent, we’ve decided to follow our hearts and take to the road permanently.

We did everything we could to keep the bakery operating from the unit, including speaking with prospective tenants who wanted to continue it as a bakery and takeaway. We had hoped the space might remain a food business serving the lower part of the village with tasty treats, but we understand that won’t be the case. Ultimately, the decision on who would be granted a new lease was not ours, and we wish the new tenant the very best of luck 🤞

Thank you to everyone who supported us. Every coffee, breakfast, lunch, scone and kind word meant the world to us.

We’ll see you on the road soon! ❤️🚐

✨ A little glimpse of what’s to come… 👀

The catering trailer has always been the dream, and now it’s time for us to give it our full attention.

That means we’re looking for someone to take on our beautiful bakery unit. Everything is in place for the next person to continue the journey.

☀️ A Little Bakery Update ☀️

With the temperatures climbing and the bakery feeling more like an oven than somewhere to bake, we’ve decided to close this week and make the most of the sunshine.

The catering trailer was always the original plan for The Squiffy Scone, and if we’re honest, our poor neglected trailer has been a bit forgotten about whilst we’ve been busy getting the bakery up and running!

So we’re going to use this week to give it some much-needed attention, crack on with a few projects we’ve been putting off, and work on some exciting things behind the scenes.

Sometimes you’ve got to take a step back from the day-to-day and focus on where you’re heading next 🚚✨
