Long time not posting but I've not made many cakes recently due to being back to work after maternity leave.

It was my sons birthday last weekend and as usual he wanted to be different. My son isn't a big fan of cake, although he will eat it if you put it in front of him! So for his 'cake' I actually made 2, 6inch kinder cookie pies and layered and covered them with white chocolate ganache and decorated them like a cake! Everything is edible (apart from the figures), using wafers, cake moss amd an edible gel for the water effect. Other decorations are made with fondant icing.

6inch chocolate fudge cake on the bottom and a 4 inch vanilla cake on top. This cake doubled up for 2 celebrations as I saved the vanilla cake and placed it on a cake card for the next day. The cupcakes are chocolate with chocolate and vanilla icing and fondant decorations with pri teddy rice paper.

A cake finished today for a friend's daughter. 3 layer, 6 inch chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream finished with fondant.

The figure is a toy (thoroughly clean and sanitised and placed on the cake with a layer of royal icing so it isnt actually touching the cake!), but I like that they can keep the figure once the cake is gone!

Hope the Birthday girl has an amazing time at her party tomorrow 🥰🥰🥰

It's not every year your Bestie turns 40! Celebrated twice with 2 surprise cakes! The pink cake was layer 6 inch vanilla with strawberry jam and was based on the colours she has had in her hair the past year and the blue and teal was designed by her 9 year old daughter and was a 3 layer 6 inch and 3 layer 4 inch chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and hand made sugar roses! It's been a while making roses but I got there in the end!

A very specific request from my son for his Birthday cake this year ... a shark (not too scary) coming out of the top of the cake and turtles (his favourite animal) on the sides. So I came up with this little 6 inch 3 layer cake which is decorated to be seen around the entire cake. The marble effect on the fondant and ripples on the top give the feeling of movement. This is a chocolate cake complete with coconut flavoured buttercream to make the cake taste like a bounty chocolate bar (at my sons request)

Stitch themed cake for my daughters Birthday. I've been very busy lately so I don't get to make as many cakes as I would like these days so I really enjoyed getting to make this one. Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in fondant and airbrushed to get the colour effect on the outside. The images are edible ink on icing and my daughters favourite sweets as decoration. The only non edible part of the cake is the acrylic topper 😍

This is a top forward cake, the first one I've attempted for my Mum's Birthday! Little bit tricky but looks gorgeous! 8 inch vanilla cake with a mango and passion fruit buttercream and coulis. First time stencilling with the buttercream too!

A simple leaving cake for one of my husband's colleagues. 6 inch 3 layer vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and a raspberry jam with a hint of champagne! Non edible flowers and butterflies for this one but it looks so effective!
