🩷IT’S GLASTWYNDBURY DAY!!💚

It’s here! GlastWyndbury carnage is upon us!
Just a quick heads up about how today will work at your local, friendly BakeHouse…

🩷We’re open from 10am, for usual cake shop shenanigans. There are NO SAUSAGE ROLLS AND SCONES TODAY!! Andy’s filled all our ovens with potatoes! Soz!

🧡Talking of potatoes, Roastie Pots will be available from 12pm onwards.

💚Music will also start at 12pm , with three stages and a full line up of brilliant local talent. Check out GlastWyndbury for the full line up!

🩷Then, at hopefully 6pm (depending on how the day unfolds) it’s bacon bap tiiiiime! Just in time to soak up some of the Brewery beers!

🧡Plan is to close at around 7pm ish….all depending on how much stuff we have left and if we’re still standing!! 🤪

Please remember, we are but humans, and a small team of humans at that, so at busy times there may be a bit of a wait for yer goodies. Please rest assured that we’re working as hard as we can back here.

Saturday 13th June

Just 6 sleeps until The Wynd’s very own FREE music festival is here…and this year it’s on a Saturday!
Three stages, music from 12 ‘till 9pm, aaaaannnnd Garden City Brewery are celebrating their 10th birthday at the same time. It’s going to be one hell of a day!
Not only will we have puddin’ and drinks aplenty, we are also are bringing our epic Roastie Pots back, PLUS Bacon Baps from 6pm for those evening munchies!

We’ll share more info about the line up as we get it, but check out the Letchworth Festival and GlastWyndbury pages for updates.

IT’S SATURDAY AGAIN!
The last one in May in fact….WTF? Where is this year going?!
Anyhoo, just wanted to let you know that we’ve got some seriously delish BBQ Pulled Pork Sausage Rolls on the menu today. ☀️
It has our 12 hr slow cooked pork shoulder, in our house made BBQ sauce, with butchers sausage meat.
Not just any butcher either. The same butcher we get all our meat from in fact, Letchworth’s very own R & E Family Butchers! Legends!

Who’s ready for the weeeeeekend?!
A little reminder, we open at 10am on both Saturday & Sunday, but the Roastie Pots will be served from 12pm. We’ve got an absolute shed load of cake and potatoes in ‘ere, come and eat them!

We know there’s lots of fun new food coming into town over the weekend, but please don’t forget your Letchworth town businesses that are here day in, day out, working their butts off to make our little town awesome.
Whatever happens, the Brewery is only a few doors away for after work beers, so we’re winning already!! ♥️

🥔The weekend of potato madness is upon us!!
Not gonna lie, we weren’t expecting a heat wave ☀️When is there ever a heat wave on food fest weekend?! Could make the extreme amount of roasting that needs to happen a little bit….well, roastin’! The massive poster in the window has caused quite a stir though, so we are expecting it to be a busy one!!

So here it is…the menu! Plus, a little lowdown on how it’s all gonna work…..
⭐️ We are open from 10am on both the Saturday & Sunday, for cake and drinks, but the Roastie Pots will be served from 12pm.
⭐️ We will have a selection of at least 22 flavours of our freshly baked cakes, cookies and treats, as per usual!
⭐️ We will NOT have our sausage rolls or warm scones over the weekend, as all the oven are gonna be filled with bloody potatoes from 5am!!
⭐️Milkshakes will also be off the menu, as they take ages to make and we don’t have enough team members to keep up with demand, BUT we will have our House made Cold Brew Coffee , Blueberry & Peach Iced Tea &, fingers crossed, Raspberry Lemonade!!!
