The first of my Saturday singing mamas sessions this term!
It really did me good, what a lovely start to the weekend.

Autumn equinox so we sang my autumn song 'Sycamore Key' in my Women in Harmony evening group last night. What a sound!
You can join me for singing on Tuesday mornings in Hitchin, Tuesday evenings in Letchworth (term bookings only) and a select few Saturday mornings this term.

World Rivers Day is coming up on 27 September and we've been learning this song of mine in all my groups. We'll be singing this and some other lovely river songs on Saturday 26th September in the first of a series of Saturday morning Singing Mamas sessions! Booking essential.

group on Tuesdays is back!
We had a lovely first session back welcoming a couple of new mums and catching up with regulars. Singing first, then tea and cake 😊 it feels like a lovely community.

These few weeks at the end of summer can be so unsettling as it's a season of transitions for almost everyone, new school year, changes to routine, changes to the weather. I find singing really helps me to get back to the present moment - for a moment! - rather than worrying about the next thing.
We love singing this one, so soothing and calming.

One of our new songs for this term is 'la siminzina' a time-honoured Sicilian lullaby reassuring the little daughter that dad will be home soon with seasoned squash seeds, basil and rosemary 💚
There's a simple harmony part as I don't usually bring Lauren (that's the guitar!) to my groups.
My groups are in Hitchin (Tuesday mornings) and Letchworth (Friday mornings)
All women are welcome, you don't have to have a baby with you!
