Women in Construction Week, building a stronger industry together

This Women in Construction Week, we’re proud to celebrate the women helping to shape the future of the UK construction and plant industry — on site, in workshops, behind the scenes, and in leadership roles.

At BTE Plant Sales, championing women in construction isn’t a one-week focus — it’s part of who we are.

Construction remains one of the most male-dominated industries in the UK, with women making up around 15% of the workforce, and fewer than 2% in manual, on-site roles. There’s still work to do to improve representation, visibility, and opportunity across the sector.

That’s why we’re especially proud to be a woman-owned business, proving that leadership, expertise and success in plant and machinery isn’t defined by gender.
