The Potato Book by Poppy Cooks - I love this so much. Who would have thought you can have a whole recipe book dedicated to the humble potato.

Tartiflette, made with Reblochon is a firm favourite from this book - so indulgent and comforting.

I highly recommend you taking a look at this wonderfully simple cookery book - you’ll never eat a boring boiled potato again!

I love finding old newspaper clippings! (circa 1989)

The six months working with Michael Nadell in Islington turned into 3 years, before returning to Leicestershire and opening the patisserie side of North’s, alongside Wendy.

Ask him how he feels and his reply is “I still love it as much as I did when I started out” - the 70+ hour weeks are still a thing at times though!!

I inherited my cookery book obsession from Wendy, my Mother in Law. I have an obscene amount of recipe books (but there are worse addictions to have!) and I get genuinely excited when a new one is published. I love the look, feel and smell of a new book and read it cover to cover.

Books inspire my cooking and I am going to share some of my favourites with you, starting with For the Love of Lemons by Letitia Clarke - it’s a wonderfully written and illustrated book all about lemons - well worth a look.
