Great Taste Awards 2022 event at Southwark Cathedral yesterday was absolutely wonderful. A huge well done to all those who won awards and to everyone who entered this year and received stars. I didn't bring home a Golden Fork this time but super proud of my 3 stars and being one of the 25 nominees. The whole event was so much fun, we met some truly amazing people and it was great meeting some of the judges in person. The feedback we received for our Baklava Cake throughout the day was absolutely phenomenal, we left the event buzzing! Can't wait until next year to enter again. Which cake do you think I should enter next?

The Great Taste Awards 2022 results have been announced and I've only gone and done it again! It was my second time entering with two of my cakes this year and I'm so thrilled to announce 📢 I've been awarded 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟 for my Baklava cake and 1 star 🌟 for my Gajjar Halwa cake. I'm absolutely over the moon! 🥳🥳🥳

Out of 14,205 from 110 countries 4,078 were awarded a Great Taste 1 star – ‘food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour’, 1,237 were awarded a Great Taste 2 star – ‘above and beyond delicious’ and only 241 were awarded a Great Taste 3 star – ‘extraordinarily tasty food and drink.’

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and thank you to The Great Taste for recognising the love that has gone into perfecting my bakes.

I am so very pleased to announce I've received a,

'FOOD HYGIENE RATING of 5!'

It's been a long time waiting for this, in fact a whole year due to the back log the council has had due to covid. I'm so so proud to finally claim my very own green sticker with a circle on that 'number 5!' (makes me so happy 😃)

The lady who came for the inspection was very impressed with everything and commented on how clean and organised everything was and that's just the way I like it to be. I believe it's important to have a top hygiene rating not only does it keep you on your toes to ensure you provide a clean/safe environment for your business but it also gives customers that peace of mind when placing an order.

What a whirlwind it's been since winning my,
3 ⭐⭐⭐ Great Taste Awards

I've finally got around to sharing with you, the incredible feedback I received from some of the judges who tasted my Ras Malai Cake. I feel so honored and overjoyed to receive comments like this from top, food industry experts who truly understand quality and taste

From over 14,000 products entered from 108 countries for this year's Great Taste Awards, my Ras Malai Cake was judged to be truly exquisite and has been given a '3 STAR' award! (let me just pinch myself) Less than 1.6% of all entries were awarded this accolade.

Starting my business in lockdown after winning the local Highfields bake off, I entered my cake for probably the biggest possible food awards (Think of it as the Oscars for food) I sent my application off in March this year and was given a date in May to send my cake in for judging (there were 84 days of judging and thousands of products were judged!) It's been a long and nervous wait but this really is such a confidence boost to be given recognition from industry leaders and experts.

Being told by your family your cakes are amazing and delicious is one thing, but this is a truly unbiased confirmation of what my family already knew!

Thanks to the amazing people in my life for your continuous love and support (you know who you are ❤). Thank you to my customers for ordering and supporting my small business and thank you, to all of you for following my page and liking my posts (now you've just got to try my cakes 😉)!
