A little change... my weekly drops will now usually be on Wednesdays 🤍
Let's be honest, I'm a bit of a lastminute.com kinda person 😅 and not working Wednesdays means I can get everything finished, photographed and listed without the usual Thursday evening rush!
It's been a busy week, so I only have 4 items available tonight 🙈😬

I've been having a bit of a rethink of the mud kitchen in nursery lately 👀🌿

I've moved it, stripped lots of things back and gone for a much more simple setup. We only have 8 nursery children (sometimes joined by 6 Reception children too!) so less really can be more 🤍

I've been making these little log pots and natural resources ...

If you were putting together a woodland-themed mud kitchen pack, what would you include? 🌿🪵

So far I'm thinking:
✨ log pots
✨ mixing sticks
✨ wooden slices
✨ chunky branch pieces
✨ little prompt discs (scoop, pour, stir?)

What am I missing? 👀

Last week I spent time just observing my nursery class during loose parts play, and it reminded me why it matters so much.
With no set outcome or adult direction, I saw creativity, problem solving, storytelling and real joint play/collaboration unfold naturally.
Simple resources (inc my winning carboard tubes lol) became so many different things — revisited, reworked and reimagined again and again.
I do understand why this can feel difficult in schools, with so many pressures around outcomes and progress, but moments like these are learning too.
It’s a reminder that some of the richest learning happens when we step back.
Not adult-led — just child-led, open-ended discovery 🤍
