Last call for Gig In The Grounds!

GITG in Douglas is where you wanna be

Once again we’ve been blown away by the applications for Gig In The Grounds. The quality of all the applicants makes our festival organisers jobs so much more difficult.
We’ve started to get our shortlist together and we’ll be contacting acts over the next week or so.

It’s still not too late to apply though!!

The festival runs from Friday 31st July - Sunday 2nd August

Sets range in length from 30 mins to 1hr/1hr 15

All acts of any genre welcome to apply

Full PA system with backline provided, with sound engineers to help set up on the day

We are a charity so have limited budget - we have funding to cover expenses for bands

Following last weekends Big Pizza Giveaway we have the full sized Tandoori Chicken Pizzas on from 1pm today.

We also have a large range of both Vegetarian or Chicken Curries, Pakoras and Daal with Pilau Rice dishes from Rash at Rice&Spicy; each one is made by hand in small batches and the flavours are just great.

Good morning Douglas!

So the Tandoori Chicken Pizzas with Scotch Bonnet were a hit then eh? I guess we'll have to add them to the menu for this weekend.

If you're a Veggie and still want a bit of spice in your life then we have you covered... The sauce we use is 100% Vegetarian!

If you're a carnivore and still want a bit of spice in your life then we have you covered... The chicken we use is 100% Meat!

Our Scotch Bonnets score between 100,000 & 350,000 points on the Scoville Chart so they are quite pokey however, we add just enough fresh Mozzarella to keep things friendly. For those of you brave/daft enough, we can add some freshly sliced Scotch Bonnet Chilli to your pizza as it comes out of the oven?

The dough is made from scratch every morning and contains only... Flour, Salt, Water & Yeast; that's why it tastes so good.

Do not fret because from 12 noon today we will be putting this little lot into the ovens and dishing out free samples for you all to try.
