No Flapjack or Oaties this week, instead we've got two brownies and two blondies...and we will see how we go!

Halloween is drawing closer, and I am itching to get some spooky bakes in the shed!

The shed week of the 23rd/24th October, I'll be putting some themed bakes in the shed, then we will be open everyday for the half-term break 9am-5pm, up until the 31st October!

I'm not really into the gruesome, hyper-realistic Halloween bakes (I'm more cute pumpkins and smiley ghosts) but I couldn't resist trying this eye-ball jelly from in one of my leftover cookies from a couple of weeks ago!

We are also taking part in the Knaresborough Scarecrow Trail, which is always a brilliant event, organized by

Thank you for another lovely shed weekend!

The most popular bake this week was definitely the Marshmallow Stuffed Cookie!

Next week I'm going to drop the oaties and flapjack from the menu and see how we go, as they are definitely the slow sellers at the moment! From what I've read, you guys like a bit of indulgence when you visit, and a flapjack just doesn't fit the bill for the majority!

Little and large...

Today I had a cake commission to make, so I thought I would make life a bit easier for myself and do one for Lupins Coffee & Cake House at the same time!

Courgette, Lime & Pistachio Cake has always been a firm favourite at Number Thirteen, so it's no surprise it's our most requested cake commission!

This little 7" beauty will be getting collected tomorrow, and the larger cake will be gracing the counter at the coffee shop in the morning!

I'm particularly excited about the chocolate orange brownies - I found some free-from chocolate orange segments in the supermarket!

All the cookies this week look 😍 but the Marshmallow Stuffed ones came out really well!

I've also made the ANZAC Oaties low sugar - using sweeteners, maple syrup and dark chocolate!
