My favourite cake of the whole year.

Our godson turns 9 this weekend and he’s away with his mum and dad so we brought his celebrations forward so we could see him open his present and cake!

For every birthday you can see my style and skill of making cakes evolve, whatever he wants he gets and this year I told him I didn’t think I could make it (as I’m super busy) he didn’t mind at all but you can be sure I couldn’t image a year without making his cake so here we are!

In all it’s glory my interpretation of the One Call Stadium in cake form with working flood lights! It was always going to be as stags cake as he is number one fan!

Imagine my face when Carla and Luke said they weren’t fussed about having a wedding cake 🙃😂 Two weeks before the wedding I took some tester cakes round and we decided on 100 chocolate fudge cake pops and maybe a 6inch little cake 👀

The hottest day of the year, buttercream cake and a clumsy boyfriend who nearly dropped it in the car you can imagine the stress levels but it was so worth it.

I always knew Luke would butcher the cake when cutting it, I’m just impressed he didn’t smush it in Carla’s face 😂

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ll never not be grateful to be trusted with such an important part of the day.

Most importantly, round of applause for the beautiful bride 🤍
