To all our lovely customers old and new who knew my mam Dot , from helping out in the shop , a lot of you know she has been poorly and in hospital for quite a few weeks , it breaks my heart to have to tell you she passed away in my arms at home yesterday 14th October. The shop will be closed the rest of this week and next. If you have got a cake ordered in the time we are closed I will be honouring your order and will get in touch with you to organise collection.

We do have a few old school and jam and coconut slab cakes

Just to inform you all for the next two weeks our opening and closing times may vary from day to day, my mum came out of hospital yesterday after a three week stay and needs looking after, I am staying with her and I need to get her all sorted and wait for the next person to come and sit with her while I’m at work , this again applies to our closing times, I will need to leave when ever I need to leave . If you have a collection I will get in touch with the times that are best but we should be at the shop between 10 and 3 but there is no guarantee.

All set up at the Lazaat wedding fayre , come along have a chat and a sample of our delicious cake. There are lots of exhibitors to help you with all your wedding needs . It runs from 12 with a catwalk show at 1-30 and finishes at 3 .

Don’t know what to get the family for that treat after tea , well why not pop by and get a freshly baked old school or jam and coconut sponge slab cake at the special offer price of only £4.00 , lovely just on there own with a cupper or smothered in custard. We are open until 1 today but once they are gone they are gone.

We are back with the weekend treats this week, they are available to buy all day Friday and up to 1 o’clock sat subject to availability.
Please order by phone or message and not a comment as we don’t always see them .
This week we have:
Old school sprinkle slab £4.00
Jam and coconut slab £4.00
Assorted tray bakes at £3.00 each or 4 for £10
Fresh cream chocolate Eclair £3.00 each
Vanilla slice £3.00 each .

I know it is only the second week of doing our new weekend specials but unfortunately there will be no fresh crams or vanilla slices , we will have a small amount of the slices and loaf cakes.
This is due to a close family illness so please accept our apologies.
