The Halloween alchemy has officially begun... 🎃

It’s been a lot getting the new shop open, so rather than spreading ourselves too thin, we’re putting all our chocolate sorcery into our smashing pumpkins this year.

Each one is a hand-painted, hollow milk chocolate pumpkin, which comes with its own little hammer so you can smash it open and see what’s been conjured up inside:

💀 Gold chocolate skulls
🐸 Popping candy milk chocolate toads

A little bit of edible alchemy, perfect for Halloween. They’ll be ready to buy from next weekend and we’ll let you know the moment they’re on the shelves.

Four tired but very happy faces 😊

First weekend in the new shop done and we honestly don’t quite know how to put it into words. There were a few proper pinch-me moments, especially when every seat was full and we looked around at everyone enjoying the space we’ve spent so long working on. We couldn’t have been happier.

Thank you to everyone who came down, whether you’re a face we’ve known for years or someone new. And thank you for the lovely feedback and the cards too, it meant so much to us.

And a huge thank you to this lot, Eleanor, Luke and Sally for all their hard work. We’re lucky to have such a fantastic little team 💛

Just a reminder that we’re closed today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) but we’ll be back open from 10am on Wednesday. See you then!

We’re open! 🎉

So here we are, our first weekend on Humber Street 😀 We’re open 10am to 3pm both today and tomorrow, and we’d love to see you.

We’ve been calling this a soft opening, and it genuinely is one. The shop’s looking great (if we do say so ourselves), but there are still a few finishing touches to come. And right now you’ll find our bonbons and chocolate bars ready and waiting, alongside a full bakery counter and hot drinks flowing, with more treats being added really soon.

It’s a big change for us, so please be gentle with the team as we find our feet. We’re so excited to finally be open and to show you all what we’ve been working on these past couple of months.

Let’s talk cakes and bakes!

Over the years we reckon we’ve put out hundreds of different bakes. Now we’ve got a proper kitchen to play with, we’re thinking about what to bring back onto the counter.

So was there a bake you always loved that disappeared? Or something you’ve always wished we’d make and we just never got round to it?
