A little note from me…

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had to do something in my business that I’ve never done before… I’ve turned down orders.

It’s certainly not something I ever want to do, but as a one-person business, sometimes I simply have no other option.
The last few weeks have been exceptionally busy – busier than I’ve ever known, in fact – which is absolutely fantastic, and for that I can only say thank you. Your support means the world to me.

However, it’s also meant working some pretty ridiculous hours. Last week alone I clocked up around 100 hours, and the reality is that isn’t sustainable or safe.

Would your local plumber, sparky or builder work 100 hours in a week? I suspect you already know the answer.

So, to those whose orders I’ve had to decline, I can only apologise. Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day, and I’d rather be honest than take on more than I can deliver.

Where I can, I’m always happy to recommend other local bakers, and I’ve done exactly that for several people already. We’re lucky to have some incredibly talented bakers in the area.

Thank you all for your understanding, your patience and, most of all, your continued support. I never take it for granted, and I’m so grateful that you choose my little business.

The Brownie Boxx will be at Seaton Chamber Independent Market on Saturday 27th June.

I’ve not traded in Seaton (my home town) for over a year so I’m very much looking forward to it and seeing some familiar faces.
