A whole strip of poppies this morning all facing the morning sun. Absolutely delightful.
I hope you’ve all had a good half term. It’s been lovely to see so many of you baking bread and enjoying the windmill this week.
Still two more days before school everyone!

Open today as usual, 9am to 4pm.

The fantastic bank holiday sun has brought the poppies out and I can (only just) get a photo of the poppies with the mill.
Windmills and poppies definitely go together. So pretty.
We’re open every day 9am to 4pm for bread, coffee, cake, lunch, climbing the mill, making your own bread or just relaxing.

Glorious sun here last night. My camera doesnt so it Justice.
It’s going to be a fabulous bank holiday so they say!
Time to plan some trips!
We will be open every day over the bank holiday from 9am to 4pm.
Heading to the beach? Call in on your way for your picnic rolls-bakery open from 9am and you can order for collection, or stop by for a restorative cuppa on your way home.

We’ve moved the mill round a little more to complete the work on the curb inside. The curb is nearly finished!
Three strong blokes managed to rotate the cap by hand.
Meanwhile, back in the bakery, we have made seedy bread, sour dough and wholemeal-all of which are vegan recipes and sugar free! Delicious and wholesome.
Plus-we have made some Eccles cakes. Remember them?
They are just too yummy for words.
Who needs sunshine when you’ve got an Eccles cake!
Bircham windmill is open today (and every day until September 30th) 9am to 4pm.

A breezy day here, enough wind today to fly the Norfolk flag but just enough blue sky to warrant a trip out.
Plenty bread and cakes here today and hot drinks to warm up in our cosy tearooms.
It’s also National Mills Weekend this weekend, perfect excuse for a windmill doughnut. See you soon. El x
