I messed up. 😔

Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats, and this week I made a mistake.
I got the flavours wrong on a customer's birthday cheesecake. After checking back through our messages, I realised it was completely my fault. I felt awful knowing I'd got such an important order wrong.
Thankfully, the customer was kind and understanding. They asked me to get in touch when I was back from my weekend away, which I did straight away, and we've made a plan to put things right.

As a small apology, I dropped off a box of four cheesecakes in the flavours the birthday cheesecake should have been.
I wanted to share this because mistakes happen. No business is perfect, and I'm certainly not. But one thing I can promise is that if I make a mistake, I'll always own it, apologise, and do everything I can to make it right.

This has definitely been a lesson learned, and from now on I'll be triple-checking every order and every message before I start baking.
