Isn't it a lovely morning? Feeling awfully productive for a Sunday morning having put the dishwasher on, washing machine on and a quick tidy round (I don't do hoovering that's Mr AFC's job).

Now to start on this lovely pile, which one do I pick first?

Well, where did that rain come from? Looks like it's set in for the weekend :(

August already, where is the year going?

I'm heading off to Harry Potter Studios next week, then the 80's Rewind Festival for the weekend, I'll need a few days rest after that!

My goodness it's hot - 28 degrees! So glad I am not having to do cakes in this weather, I remember it was a nightmare doing it in this heat last year!

For all Cakers here, how do you cope with the heat? Do you live in a country that is hot all the time? :D

In honour of the World Cup Final, currently at half time 0-0 scoreline, I thought I'd look for, and share with a recipe from both Germany and Argentina.

In no particular order:

For Germany we have Spritzkutchen, a kind of donut which looks magic!

Baking bowl out for the last time for a while - I will be taking an enforced break for 2 months from this to see how I get on with my shoulder, then hopefully the diary will be open for limited orders after then.

Today's flavours are vanilla, chocolate, turkish delight and chocolate with peanut butter icing. Drool!

I hope to still see you all visiting my page as will be blogging over the summer with recipes for you to try and will also be opening the page for you to share your creations with me.
